Mission Statement
To impact the lives of elementary age Black boys and girls in Northeast OKC by providing a Health and Physical Education program that promotes improved Health and Wellness through the game of Golf.
Seven Core Values
Health: the foundation to every other core value on this list; if you don’t have good health, you can’t do much else until you do.
Self-Discipline: the ability to control yourself and to make yourself work hard or behave in a particular way without needing anyone else to tell you what to do. Self-Discipline will lead you to the life you want.
Peace: in addition to living harmoniously with yourself, as well as others, peace enables clear decision-making, and freedom in thoughts and actions. Having tranquil peace of mind takes years of practice to perfect.
Calmness: Being calm is an easy choice to make. You can be calm in any situation if you allow yourself to be. No amount of challenges can penetrate you when you embrace calmness as a core value.
Confidence: a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.
Responsibility: being responsible not only means that you are responsible for your own happiness and success, but it also means holding yourself accountable for something that effects the people you care about.
Freedom: freedom comes in various forms, and that’s why it is the ultimate core value. Freedom is not doing whatever you choose to do. Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, and change as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
I’m Your Big Brother has developed a great Board of Directors to help manage a program that will make a positive impact in the lives of many black boys and girls in Northeast Oklahoma City.
I’m Your Big Brother is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting elementary age boys and girls in Northeast Oklahoma City to reach their highest potential.
I’m Your Big Brother is able to serve elementary age Black boys and girls K-6. Specifically, children who are interested in improving their overall Health and Wellness by learning the wonderful game of Golf.
