There are currently not many consistently active programs that specifically focus on READING for young Black children in Oklahoma City? I’m Your Big Brother, Inc. is specifically designed for urban Black boys and girls K-6, with hopes of inspiring them to READ, stay healthy, and learn the amazing game of golf. I’m Your Big Brother will be different in our approach with the children, we will focus on READING, with an emphasis on Health and Physical education combined with introducing them to the game of Golf. Our advantage is that there is a need for an academic enrichment program that focuses on merging READING, Health/Physical fitness, and the game of Golf for young black children in the urban area of Oklahoma city; we will actively make ourselves visible and seek out K-6 Black boys and girls in urban public schools.

There are no visible disadvantages or weaknesses of I’m Your Big Brother Inc. Done out of love and with a caring heart, I’m Your Big Brother will positively impact the lives of many black children, their families, and citizens of the community and create bonds that last a lifetime.

I’m Your Big Brother has gained the support of local childcare providers, school teachers, community leaders, and volunteers, who have pledged their support in assisting with mentoring and fundraising ventures.
